Laser hair removal is a cosmetic procedure that uses lasers to remove unwanted hair from your body. The laser's energy passes through your skin and is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle, which is transferred to the follicle's root. This damages the follicle, inhibiting further hair growth.
Laser Hair Removal Pre And Post Care Instructions

2 Weeks Prior To Your Treatment

Three Days Prior To Your Treatment.
- Refrain from using any topical prescription medicines in the regions that will receive laser treatment.
Shave
Please use a clean razor and shave the area(s) we'll be treating the day before your appointment.
Come Makeup-free
Before your visit, you must remove all skincare products—including sunscreen, lotion, deodorant, and makeup—from the area being treated.
Also, let us know if you have any new diagnoses, are pregnant, or are taking a new medication. If you have a history of cold sores, do take an antiviral medication starting 24-48 hours before your treatment and continue having it for three to five days after the procedure. Also, do inform us if you have any tattoos near the area of treatment. Â
After The Procedure
Moisturize
After your procedure, use a moisturizer on the treated region as often as necessary to soothe any discomfort.
Stay Out Of The Sun
Your skin will be extra sensitive after the laser hair removal session, so it is essential to avoid direct exposure to sunlight for a few days after treatment. Wear sunscreen and a hat if you'll be outside for a prolonged period. Tanning beds and tanning booths should also be avoided for a few weeks following treatment. If you are in direct sunlight before your skin has healed, you run the risk of severe blistering and costly trips to your doctor's office. And remember to apply sunblock with SPF 50+ to the treated area any time you are outside.
Stay Cool & Dry
Avoid hot tubs, steam rooms, saunas, pedicures, and workouts for 24 hours after the treatment. Also, refrain from swimming for at least three days after your procedure.
